White Clover is the world’s most popular clover and is widely adapted within the United States. White Dutch Clover is a strain of white clover that originated in Holland. It is a low growing perennial that is best suited to moist, well-drained, fertile soils. Being a legume, white clover is able to take nitrogen from the air and fix it in the soil through action of bacteria on their roots. Many years ago white clover was a component of turfgrass mixtures only to fall out of favor with the introduction of selective herbicides. Today they are once again gaining popularity as a more eco friendly addition to lawns as white clover can supply up to 1/3 of the nitrogen needs for grasses. It produces white flowers throughout the year and develops prostrate stems that root freely. Grows 4-8 inches high.

Uses: Lawns in a grass mixture, Ground Cover, Erosion Control, Soil Improvement, Cover Crops, Pastures
Seeding Rates:- Lawns: Because of a high seed count, white clover should only comprise 5% of a grass seed mix. If seeding alone seed at the rate of 2 ounces per 1,000 square feet.
- Pasture: 2 pounds per acre
- Erosion Control: 6-8 pounds per acre
