Nothing compares to the flavor of fresh herbs in cooking and salads. Herbs can be grown indoors or outdoors, whether in pots or directly in the ground. For a steady harvest, plant seeds periodically to ensure a continuous supply of fresh, aromatic leaves.

- Planting: In mild climates, seeds can be planted year‑round for a continuous supply. In colder climates, start seeds indoors and transplant them to the outdoor garden when conditions improve, if preferred.
The Culinary Herbs Variety Pack comes with the following:
- Parsley: Parsley can be enjoyed as both a vegetable and an herb, adding fresh flavor and vibrant color to countless dishes. Italian parsley is especially prized for its rich, aromatic taste. Plants grow well in full sun or light shade, especially in hot climates. For best germination, soak seeds overnight in warm water before planting.
- Chives: Chives have a mild onion flavor and are excellent for cooking, garnishing, or topping dishes. They grow in attractive clumps, making them useful both in the kitchen and as a decorative edging plant in the garden. For best harvesting, snip entire leaves from the outside of the clump, rather than cutting just the leaf tips, to encourage healthy regrowth.
- Thyme, English: These plants grow to about 1 foot tall and make excellent garden shrubs or container plants. Use the leaves fresh or dried to season a wide variety of dishes, adding aroma and flavor to everyday cooking.
- Oregano, Italian: Native to Europe and Asia, these plants grow 1–2 feet tall and thrive as productive garden herbs. For the best flavor, keep plants trimmed to prevent flowering, which encourages fresh, aromatic growth. Use the leaves fresh or dried in Italian and Spanish dishes, or sprinkle them fresh on pizza for bright, savory flavor.
